AME Life Members

AME Life Members are members who attain the age of 65 years and who have been AME members for at least 20 years, or who have been AME  members for at least 15 years and have served on the Board for at least 4 years, whose applications to become Life Members have been approved by the AME Board of Directors. Honourary Life Members are appointed Life Members by the Board of Directors for outstanding contributions to AME.

Life members enjoy all rights and privileges of ordinary members, but are not required to pay membership fees or dues. To apply to become a Life Member, submit your information using the life member online form before September 30 to be eligible for the upcoming membership year.

AME Pioneers (formerly known as the AME Old-timers)

Life Members are different from AME Pioneers. AME Pioneers are at least 70 years of age, and have made a significant contribution to either AME or the BC mineral exploration community in general. AME Pioneers are invited to attend AME Pioneers' events, and are offered complimentary registration to AME Roundup (they are not offered complimentary AME Individual Membership). The AME Pioneers' Committee, comprised of senior members of the mineral exploration and mining sector, annually reviews eligible candidates and maintains the mailing list. To apply to become an AME Pioneer, submit an application via the AME Pioneers' online form.
